Cooking Advice
- Don’t press down on the patties while cooking to keep them juicy.
- Let the patties rest for a few minutes after cooking to lock in the flavors.
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, chorizo, garlic, onion powder, chipotle flakes, and black pepper using your hands until everything is well combined. Shape the mixture into four patties, but don’t pack them too tightly.
Step 2
Heat a griddle or a big skillet over medium heat and add a bit of buttery spread to grease the surface. Once it’s hot, cook the patties for about 3 minutes until they start to brown. Turn the heat down to medium-low and let them cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 3
Flip the patties over and cook for about 6 more minutes until the other side is nicely browned. Then, place a slice of pepperjack cheese on each patty and let it melt for about a minute.
Step 4
While the cheese is melting, toast your hamburger buns in a toaster oven. Spread about a teaspoon and a half of mayonnaise on each bun half. Place the cheesy patties on the bottom buns, pile on some spring mix lettuce, and sprinkle a little lime juice over the greens. Finally, top with the bun tops and you’re ready to dig in!
