Chef Tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through but still juicy (165°F or 74°C).
- Sear the chicken on high heat first to lock in juices before finishing in the oven or on lower heat.
Directions
Whisk the salt, pepper, hot paprika, cumin, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Then, sprinkle this spice blend evenly over the chicken, making sure every piece gets some flavor. Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken and cook it for about 4 minutes without moving it, so it gets a nice sear. Flip the chicken over, lower the heat to medium-low, and pour in the orange juice. Let everything simmer gently until the chicken is cooked through, which should take around 7 minutes. When it’s done, spoon a little of the delicious pan sauce over each piece before serving.
