Why This Dish Is Hard To Resist
Better Cooking Tips
- Seal the edges well with a little water to prevent filling from leaking during cooking.
- Fry in hot oil, but not too hot, to ensure the wontons cook evenly without burning.
Step 1
Whisk the pulled pork and chopped onion together in a bowl until everything is well combined. Then, take about a teaspoon of the pork mixture and place it right in the center of each wonton wrapper. Lightly wet two opposite edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it over to form a triangle, and press the edges firmly to seal them shut.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a deep-fryer or a large pot until it reaches around 325Β°F (165Β°C) β youβll know itβs ready when itβs almost smoking. Carefully drop a few wontons into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about a minute or until they turn a lovely golden brown.
Step 3
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer the wontons to some crumpled paper towels to soak up any excess oil. Serve them right away with your favorite barbecue sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
