What Makes This Dish So Tasty
Cooking Advice
- Press the oat mixture firmly into the pan to help the bars hold together.
- Let the squares cool completely before cutting to prevent them from crumbling.
Directions
Warm your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 13x9-inch glass baking dish with some cooking spray. Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl by microwaving it for about a minute. If it’s not fully melted, give it another 30 seconds. Stir in 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined. Add the oats to the mixture and stir; it might be a bit thick, but don’t worry about adding any extra liquid. Gently fold in the strawberries and white chocolate chips. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared dish and press it down lightly. Bake for around 25 minutes, or until the top turns a nice golden color. Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
