Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Cooking Hints
- Rinse the sushi rice well before cooking to remove excess starch and achieve the perfect sticky texture.
- Keep a small bowl of water nearby to wet your hands when handling the rice; this prevents it from sticking.
Step 1
Rins the rice a few times until the water runs clear. Put it in a saucepan with the right amount of water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and let it simmer gently for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is fully absorbed. Take it off the heat and let it cool down to room temperature, which should take around 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 2
Once the rice is ready, divide everything evenly onto four plates. Begin with a layer of rice, then add the crab, followed by cucumber and avocado slices. Finish each plate with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for a nice touch.
