Why This Recipe Is So Easy To Love
Chef's Cooking Tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145Β°F for safe and juicy results.
- Baste the pork with the maple glaze during cooking to build layers of flavor and keep the meat moist.
Step 1
Put the pork roast in a large resealable bag. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, vinegar, pancake syrup, cornstarch, and brown sugar until well combined. Pour this marinade into the bag with the pork, seal it, and toss everything around so the meat is nicely coated. Pop it in the fridge and let it soak up those flavors for about 2 hours.
Step 2
When youβre ready to cook, heat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Transfer the pork and marinade to a roasting pan or a big Dutch oven. Cover it with a lid or foil and roast for about an hour. After that, take off the cover and keep roasting until the top gets a nice brown color and a meat thermometer reads at least 145Β°F (63Β°C).
Step 3
Once itβs done, take the roast out of the oven and let it rest for around 10 minutes before slicing. The temperature will rise a bit more during this time, making the pork juicy and tender.
