Why You'll Keep Making This
Helpful Cooking Tips
- Cut the pork into thin, even strips to ensure quick and uniform cooking.
- Cook the vegetables on high heat to keep them crisp and colorful.
Step 1
Whisk together the flour and water in a medium saucepan until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix the water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, lemon juice, orange juice, garlic, and onion powder. Slowly pour this mixture into the saucepan, stirring as you go. Heat it over medium-high until it comes to a boil, then let it cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Take it off the heat once itβs nice and glossy.
Step 2
Toss the pork pieces in a plastic bag with the flour, salt, and pepper, shaking it well to coat each piece evenly. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the pork. Cook it until itβs browned on all sides, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the carrots and pour in the sauce, bringing everything to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring now and then. Then stir in the pineapple and orange chunks and simmer for another 5 minutes to let all the flavors meld together.
Step 4
Serve the stir-fry over some hot, cooked rice and enjoy!
