Why This Recipe Is So Enjoyable
Pro Kitchen Tips
- Use buttermilk to marinate the chicken for at least a few hours to enhance tenderness and flavor.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan to maintain consistent frying temperature and even cooking.
Step 1
Place 1 kg of chicken drumsticks in a large bowl. Add some vinegar, salt, and water, then cover and let them soak for about an hour. After that, drain off the vinegar water.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix together chili sauce, buffalo sauce, salt, and chili powder. Use a marinade injector to fill each drumstick with this spicy sauce. Set the injected drumsticks aside for now.
Step 3
Combine salt, cumin powder, chili flakes, ginger powder, garlic powder, coriander powder, pepper, and chili powder in another small bowl. Give it a good mix.
Step 4
Rub this spice blend all over the drumsticks, then add a bit of mustard sauce and rub again. Let the chicken marinate for at least an hour, or even overnight if you have time.
Step 5
Now for the coating: pour some all-purpose flour into a large bowl. Coat each drumstick in the flour, then dip them into a liquid batter made by mixing flour, the spice blend, and water. After dipping, coat them again in the dry flour, shaking off any extra.
Step 6
Heat oil in a pan and fry the drumsticks until theyβre golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
