Why This Dish Is Amazing
Practical Cooking Tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork is cooked to 145Β°F for perfect doneness.
- Baste the pork with the glaze several times during cooking for maximum flavor.
Step 1
Make a brine: combine water, half a cup of brown sugar, salt, a couple of tablespoons of grated ginger, a chopped onion, lemon slices, five smashed garlic cloves, and half a cup of teriyaki sauce in a large container. Pop the pork tenderloin in, cover it up, and let it chill in the fridge for anywhere from 2 to 8 hours.
Step 2
While the pork is soaking, mix up the glaze. Whisk together half a cup of teriyaki sauce, some sweet and sour sauce, hoisin sauce, four minced garlic cloves, a couple of tablespoons of ginger, a bit of brown sugar, and fresh orange juice until itβs nice and smooth.
Step 3
When youβre ready to cook, heat up your grill to high. Grill the pork tenderloin, turning every 7 to 12 minutes or so, until itβs cooked through and no longer pink inside.
Step 4
Once itβs done, take it off the grill and wrap it loosely in foil. Let it rest for about 10 minutes to keep it juicy.
Step 5
Just before serving, brush the pork with that delicious glaze, then slice it thinly and enjoy!
