Why This Dish Is So Satisfying
Tips For Best Results
- Donโt overcook the shrimp; bake just until they turn pink and opaque.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice after baking for a bright, zesty finish.
Step 1
Lightly heat your oven to 375 degrees F. In a large, deep skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until itโs nicely browned and crispy, which should take about 10 minutes. Once done, move the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain off the grease, but keep the bacon fat in the skillet. When the bacon is cool enough, chop it up into small pieces.
Step 2
Melt the butter in the bacon grease over medium heat. Add the diced bacon back in along with the Dijon mustard, chili powder, red pepper flakes, basil, thyme, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Stir everything together and cook until the onion softens, around 5 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the wine and sprinkle in the seafood seasoning, then add the shrimp. Toss everything so the shrimp gets coated evenly with the flavorful mixture. Transfer the shrimp and sauce into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 4
Pop the dish into the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the shrimp turn bright pink and are cooked through but still juicy. Once done, itโs ready to serve and enjoy!
