Why This Recipe Stands Out
Cooking Hints
- Toast the nuts and oats lightly before mixing for extra crunch and flavor.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the bars once they have fully cooled to prevent crumbling.
Directions
Heat your oven to 325Β°F (165Β°C) and lightly grease a 7x11 1/2-inch baking pan. In a big bowl, combine the oats, chocolate chips, flour, agave nectar, cherries, applesauce, almonds, coconut, sunflower seeds, brown sugar, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together until itβs well blended. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly. Pop it in the oven and bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, until the top turns a nice golden brown. Once itβs out, let it cool in the pan for around 10 minutes before slicing into bars. Give the bars plenty of time to cool completely before trying to take them out of the pan so they hold together nicely.
