Why This Recipe Is So Delicious

This chili is packed with bold flavors that bring warmth and comfort to any gathering. It’s hearty and filling, making it perfect for game day celebrations. The combination of spices and ingredients creates a deliciously rich dish everyone will enjoy.

Cooking Advice

- Brown the meat well to develop deeper flavors.
- Let the chili simmer slowly to allow the spices to blend perfectly.
- Adjust the heat by adding more or less chili powder to suit your taste.

Step 1

Cook the ground beef and garlic in a large non-stick pot over medium-high heat. Keep stirring it until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink, which should take about 10 minutes. Next, toss in the bell pepper, red onion, carrot, zucchini, and celery. Cook everything together, stirring now and then, until the veggies have softened up, around 5 minutes.

Step 2

Sprinkle in the cumin, chili powder, oregano, coriander, and black pepper, and cook for another minute to let the spices get fragrant. Then add the tomatoes, corn, tomato soup, mushrooms, barbecue sauce, and taco seasoning. Give it all a good stir and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it’s boiling, lower the heat to a gentle simmer, cover the pot, and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

After that, stir in all the beans—the black beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, and baked beans—and let the chili simmer until everything is heated through, about 15 minutes. Finally, take it off the heat and stir in some fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice to brighten it all up. Enjoy!

Serving Recommendations

Serve this chili with warm cornbread or tortilla chips for a satisfying meal. Top it with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions to add extra texture and flavor. It also pairs well with a cold beer or a refreshing iced tea.

Refrigeration Tips

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. This chili also freezes well — portion it out and freeze for up to three months. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, stirring occasionally to warm evenly.

Easy to follow and tasty, but I found it just slightly salty so I’d reduce the salt next time. Otherwise great chili!
