Step 1

Make a brine: combine water, half a cup of brown sugar, salt, a couple of tablespoons of grated ginger, a chopped onion, lemon slices, five smashed garlic cloves, and half a cup of teriyaki sauce in a large container. Pop the pork tenderloin in, cover it up, and let it chill in the fridge for anywhere from 2 to 8 hours.

Step 2

While the pork is soaking, mix up the glaze. Whisk together half a cup of teriyaki sauce, some sweet and sour sauce, hoisin sauce, four minced garlic cloves, a couple of tablespoons of ginger, a bit of brown sugar, and fresh orange juice until it’s nice and smooth.

Step 3

When you’re ready to cook, heat up your grill to high. Grill the pork tenderloin, turning every 7 to 12 minutes or so, until it’s cooked through and no longer pink inside.

Step 4

Once it’s done, take it off the grill and wrap it loosely in foil. Let it rest for about 10 minutes to keep it juicy.

Step 5

Just before serving, brush the pork with that delicious glaze, then slice it thinly and enjoy!

Serving Variations

Serve the pork sliced over steamed rice or noodles to soak up the delicious glaze. Add a side of sautéed vegetables or a fresh Asian slaw to balance the meal. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for extra texture and color.
